My Thoughts On: Red Dead Redemption: GOTY Edition

It's not often I talk about video games on my blog but here's that I change all that. Red Dead Redemption is a classic among gamers. Rockstar knows how to make a great game and since it's release, it has plenty of DLC to go around, including Undead Nightmare, adding zombies into the mix. After months of releasing DLC, Rockstar decided that RDR needs a Game of the Year Edition of the game and includes the main game and all the DLC, at a price of 49.99.

I'm not the biggest fan of DLC besides Rock Band because they tend to get very expensive. However, RDR impressed me with it's story and the multiplayer is pretty good, better then Call of Duty standards anyways. Plus the DLC they give us is also at a nice price range for everyone. Having a Game of the Year Edition of any game that you love is a must have for most people who either:

1. Never played the game before and want to jump in.

And 2. People who don't own the game and get all the DLC.

I say it's a good deal, depending on if you want a great game with everything or not. I think the cost of when the game first came out plus the DLC is well over a hundred dollars, so your saving a lot of money if you never bought the game before. I think this is a trend for many games now. Fallout: New Vegas is releasing their collection of DLC sometime next year so I think we could start seeing more games take that plunge in giving gamers what they want.

Y2Jant's Thoughts on WWE This Week

Here's hoping that I can make this a weekly thing.

As we know, tonight on Raw will feature CM Punk defending the WWE Championship against the man who lost the title to him: Alberto Del Rio. I can promise that Del Rio wants his title back and get some payback. However, the real question: Does Del Rio have that drive to make sure he wins the title? No, because Punk is at the top of the mountain and his products are selling out faster then hot cakes so Punk won't lose the title anytime soon.

Which brings another question, how long will Punk hold the title for? It's been quite a long time since we last saw someone hold the title for more then a few months. Maybe we can have Ziggler lose the title to Ryder and have the WWE Universe will be up and arms.

Speaking of Ryder, do you guys think he deserves the U.S. Title? I think so. The reaction he had at MSG during Survivor Series should tell the boys backstage that Ryder should now get the next push he really deserves.

Survivor Series 2011 Predictions

Ladies and gentlemen, this Sunday marks Survivor Series, one of the most well known pay per views WWE puts on every year as the Big 4. This Sunday, live from Madison Square Garden, history will be made in the world's most famous arena. But will it be one to remember? I break down the matches and pick who will win.

U.S. Champion Dolph Ziggler will defend his title against John Morrison. After a bit of a losing streak, Morrison will challenge Ziggler for the title. still think that Zack Ryder should have his chance at the title in the future but until then, we get this match. I think Ziggler will retain the title, just to see if Ryder can finally get a win.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler

WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix will defend her title against Eve in a Lumberjill Match. I can't really say much about this match because, well, not many people will pay attention to it. Still, as much as I love Eve, I don't see her winning the title so I give the win to Beth to retain.

Winner: Beth Phoenix

Traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Match
Team Orton (Randy Orton, Kofi Kingston, Sin Cara, Mason Ryan and Sheamus) will take on Team Barrett (Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes, Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger and Hunico).

This is one of those matches I really need to look at. On one hand, Orton and his team got some wins and so does Barrett and his team. This all comes down to who will be starting the match out. In the long run, I see Orton's team getting the win but it can go either way as these matches are unpredictable. It would be interesting how Hunico plays in the match since he replaced Christian.

Winner: Team Orton

World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry will defend his title against The Big Show. Once again these two will start what they couldn't finish last time. I still see Henry get the win because he is becoming one of those strong champions. I guess Henry is more of a deserving champion at the moment but that could change.

Winner: Mark Henry

WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio defends his title against CM Punk. The Voice of the Voiceless never got his proper rematch for the title and he will get his chance this Sunday. However, knowing Del Rio, I think he will make sure he will prevent Punk from becoming champ again so I have to give the win to Punk. But I think this is just the beginning of these two fighting it out.

Winner: Alberto Del Rio

The Awesome Truth (R-Truth and The Miz) will take on John Cena and The Rock. Never Before. Never Again. This will be The Rock's first match back at Madison Square Garden and things couldn't be more interesting. Wrestlemania opponents will be tag team partners for only one night. But the real question is: Can Rock and Cena be partners long enough to pick up the win? I believe so. Most likely Rock will pick up the pinfall victory for the team and then, maybe he will have a few words to say to Cena. Never again will these two team up. This is one of the most talked about matches on the card and I hope it doesn't disappoint.

Winner: The Rock and John Cena

Y2Jant Reviews: Sonic Generations

Over the years, we have seen Sonic go from one of the most beloved heroes to something not even Sega was able to revive. Even with this in mind, it's time that Sonic went back to his roots and Sonic Generations is just that. A mixed between old and new, this game is a chance to return Sonic to his glory days (or as close as he can anyways).

Gameplay

Sonic Generations mixes our Modern Sonic that we grew to dislike with his Classic counterpart from the Genesis years as they both team up to stop an evil that is erasing time itself. Each stage is separated by two acts, the first act for Classic Sonic, where he can have his classic platforming stages, and act 2, for Modern Sonic, with his ability to run at high speeds over long distances. The controls vary from each Sonic. Classic can spin dash by holding down a single button while Modern can speed boost. It's a nice change between 2D and 3D acts that can help the game really well.

After completing 6 acts, challenges will be unlocked for you to beat as well. From collecting a certain amount of coins to racing yourself to the end of the stage, this is where the game shines since there is so much replay value with the challenges. You even face bosses for a chaos emerald as well, each with it's own twist on how to beat them. There are four main bosses and three sub bosses and the challenge is there.

Voice Acting?

Generations also features voice acting for each character except for Classic Sonic (since he doesn't talk from his past games) and it's a nice little blend of comedy between acts that might give you a laugh or two (hearing Amy talk is not the greatest thing in the world mind you). It's also nice that it's kept to a minimal and I think most people will agree that it's nice just to jump into the next level without much talking.

Visuals/Music

Sonic Generations brings fourth HD quality gameplay and the levels reflect that so well. As you change back and fourth between Sonics and play their respective acts, the levels are designed beautifully for both sides of the story. Although you move fast enough, you often times miss the levels as they truly are beautiful to see. As for the music, a nice remix of old levels provides great music from each stage and brings a lot to the table. From the mix of Green Hill Zone towards Chemical Plant Zone, each stage has it's own unique remix that every Sonic fan can enjoy.

Good or Bad?

Now the really big question for most Sonic fans. Is this really the return of Sonic and return him to the light of glory? That's really up to people to decide when they play the game. While we all know how Modern Sonic plays out, Classic Sonic has that nice feeling to return to the 90's and have a chance to play Sonic like it's meant to be. While most fans leans towards Classic Sonic, there are others out there that love Modern Sonic and his gameplay. This game has everything most fans will love and it's a nice change of pace for gamers who want to pick up a good game.

Overall, this isn't the best return for Sonic, however with switching gameplay between Classic and Modern Sonic, the amazing looks of each stage and music to boot, Sonic Generations is a game that every gamer should at least play once and enjoy what was the glory days of Sonic. Along with the challenge stages to complete, this game is what really makes this Sonic game worth the money to buy. I give it a 8 out of 10.

Why I Hate PETA Right Now

Hello there everyone and here's something worth mentioning before I blow up my laptop from all the anger I'm feeling right now.

As we know, PETA is an organization that promotes that animal testing is wrong and all the things. I used to respect them just a little bit because they were promoting a good message towards everyone.

Until today that is.

Just take a look at what all us gamers found out today right here.

So let me get this right. PETA is blaming Nintendo and Mario, the character that is loved by so many people, of promoting wearing fur? The same powered up suit that Mario wore in his 1990 adventure, Super Mario Bros. 3, that he got whenever he picked up a leaf?

PETA, your an asshole.

Mario has be the staple character of Nintendo for so many years and yet you PETA have the nerve to blast them because of a power up that Mario has been using for many years? Are you fucking kidding me? I don't care what people think of PETA, this is a new low even for them and to do this to Nintendo is just plain wrong. It's a game PETA! Oh and you just had to make a game about it huh? Putting all the blame on the plumber for promoting fur! It's a power up for God's sakes! What's next? Are you going to say that killing a Goomba is illegal?

Whatever respect I had for you PETA is now gone because you dare mess with all the gamers of a hero. I should warn you now: When over 30 million + fans hear from this, nothing but hate will come your way and I promise you that it's going to ruin you.

November Video Games

Well, it's that time of the year again. Out of any time of the year currently, the months of October, November and December are the holiday months for us gamers. It is this time around that we play some of the biggest games out there today and enjoy them for many months. Here is a list of just a few of the big games for this year and contenders for Game of the Year material.

Batman: Arkham City - Batman makes his return to consoles with the sequel to Arkham Asylum and this game became bigger then that. Having a whole city to not only to explore but a chance to meet some of the enemies well known to the Dark Knight, this game blew the water out of most games and it proves just that.

Uncharted 3 - The series continues on as Drake continues on his adventures and knowing the team behind the game, they did everything they could to make sure that this game will be a great game.

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 - Well, this was bound to happen as Capcom tends to make more fighting ports then ever before, let's hope that we stick to this one game and get DLC on the side as well because the fans want more from this series.

Super Mario 3D Land - I call this game the savior of the Nintendo 3DS. Nintendo needs something to boost the sales of the 3DS and having Mario at the front lines will help Nintendo out greatly. But can even the plumber safe the company that has lost a huge amount of money? This game will set critics straight and I am very happy to see Mario return to the handheld world.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations - Another game that has a big ending towards it, will this be the end of the great series or will this be the start of something new? This game has a good chance at being game of the year along with the rest of the games mentioned and it won't surprise me that it gets a few awards from it.

Modern Warfare 3 - No question that this will be the game everyone is looking towards and it has a fight with Battlefield 3. Knowing the people behind the game, this will be a game that everyone will be playing and have a chance to play no matter what happens. No matter how many FPS's we have, Call of Duty will be the WoW of the consoles when it comes to shooters.

This is just a small amount of games that we are expecting this month. Things are getting hot in the gaming world as many are hoping that Nintendo comes out the winner of it all.

Y2Jant Reviews: Dead Island

Let's be honest here for just a few moments people. Who here is already tired of all the countless zombie games? Left 4 Dead, Killing Floor, Zombies from Black Ops, you probably wondering what Dead Island is doing now with all the zombie goodness. Well, I can tell you that Dead Island will become a sleeper hit and here's a few things why.

Dead Island is your zombie game but with the added twist. Taking stuff from Dead Rising and Fallout 3, players are on an island (duh) and for some reason, zombies are popping out and it's up to you to figure out what is going on around here. In a first person perspective, you travel the island as one of four characters, each with a story of their own, as you take everything and anything as a weapon in order to fight off the living dead. But wait, there's more to this game then what meets the eye.

The weapons can range from a 2x4 or a paddle to swords and guns (guns will actually come way later in the game, took me a couple of gameplay hours to see a pistol). On top of that, mods improve your weapons in some way, like giving a sword an extra kick of electricity or wrapping barbed wire on a bat for more damage. However, using the weapons will lose their durability after awhile and it's best to find a workbench to fix it up before it brakes. And to make things even more interesting, you have a stamina bar, which depletes whenever you run or swing a weapon around. Once that is empty, you are left standing there and won't defend yourself for a few seconds.

Does Dead Island have a plot? Yes in some way but it's never really explained. There are three Acts in the whole game and you start getting somewhere after you start the third act. Even if that means you have to explore the entire island, it's worth to see the beauty (and deadly) view. The graphics are nice as you travel from the hotel where you start to deep in the jungle.

Another kick in Dead Island is that it's like an RPG. Every zombie you encounter and kill have their own health bar and exp. bar. Once you kill them, you gain whatever exp. they have. As you progress in the game, the zombies get harder and new kinds of zombies appear before you that are deadlier then the last. You have your Walkers, who roam the area in search for food or to kill a player. And then we got the Infected, which charges at the player at lightning speed and will attack, wailing their arms at you. And then the Thug, which wail their arms at you, sending you flying backwards. And then, there are the Special Infected.

The Floater spews out acid at you, blinding you in green ooze as you take damage from it. The Ram will charge at you, knocking you down and can kick you, sending a massive amount of health down with you. The Butcher has no arms but it's bones are sharp at the tip and will cut you into pieces. Last but not least is The Suicider, its deformed body cries for help as it explodes on you, killing you instantly. The player must think of ways to defeat each new zombies and this is where the element of fun happens.

At first, I started playing and I'm like, this game is another zombie game. Many hours later, I'm running for my life as zombies start attacking me from every direction. Plus with the exp gained for a certain character will unlock other abilities for that character as well. Some reduces melee damage while others increases the exp. for breaking the bones of the zombie. The game itself is slow at the beginning but it slowly picks up just when you start Act II. With an entire island to explore, it's no wonder why this game is becoming popular. The other day when I went to Gamestop with my friends, I was talking to one of the workers and said that every other Gamestops in my city had sold out of Dead Island so most likely it will become a good sleep hit as we head into the fall.

Now you must be wondering, what about the mulitiplayer aspect of the game? Well, I can believe that working with a team is better then working alone (trust me on this, I died many times during my single player run at the game so I can say that playing with others is better). And if you have all four of the main characters in one game, then the chances of you surviving the game are that much greater but the zombies become more tougher to kill. Just be sure to start a new game with four level 1 players, it's best to have it equal then unbalanced. *At this point, I have yet to try it myself but I will write more in the future*

Aside from a few things, Dead Island is a game I can recommend to most gamers, if they want a nice RPG game or to fight hundreds of zombies, the game won't disappoint if you like that kind of game. Giving it an 8 out of 10, I'm sure to come back to the island again and again.

Y2Jant E3 Blog: Nintendo/Microsoft/Sony Thoughts

It's that time of the year ladies and gentlemen. E3 is here, bringing us the best in games from now until the following year. This year, it's a bit harder for me to pick the winner of the big three conferences and here is why:

Microsoft brought the big guns early when we had more info on titles like Gears of War 3, Fable: The Journey and the big Halo 4, plus with Modern Warfare 3, seems that Microsoft was ready this year with their big titles. Not to mention all the nice add ons for the 360, like Youtube and the Kinect features, you wonder how they took the head start in the race.

Switching over to Sony, they knew that they were going in after what happened with the PSN. They kicked out the heavy games as well and introduced us to their new portable system that had many gamers look in amazement. Sony got their games ready for the world to see and amazed me at some points.

Nintendo came out to know that we are celebrating 25 years with The Legend of Zelda series. With more games coming out, Nintendo wanted the world to see that Mario Kart, Super Mario 3D, Luigi's Mansion 2, Star Fox 3D, the list can go on. But then they brought out the new toy of E3: The Wii U. Looks like a new system in the works and I was confused at first. Then, the titles that might be on this new system: Assassin's Creed, Batman Arkham City and many other games, I even saw the man behind Bioshock talking about it. The kick for me? Off besides the Kid Icarus game, Sakurai said that the Super Smash Bros. series will be making a return to both the 3DS and the Wii U.

My opinion on who won? Sony has the edge in this case because they knew that they were going in with more coverage thanks to the outage. However, Nintendo gets my vote and stole the show (Come on, I never heard a reaction to Smash Bros. like that in a while). Got to give it to Nintendo for changing the gaming tables yet again

WWE Raw Aftermath 5/16/11

It's been awhile ladies and gentlemen but Y2Jant is back and things are getting interesting around Raw now, looks like Over The Limit is this Sunday so here is a few words at what I think about last night's Raw.

What can I say about Cena/Miz? Cena is heading into one of his most favorite matches: I Quit. Cena has never lost an I Quit match before. I will post what I think about Over the Limit and more in the next blog.

R-Truth is starting to becoming a heel with each and every week. And now he is attacking Rey Mysterio and facing him this Sunday? I wonder what his new theme will be now that he is a heel. Things are getting interesting.

CM Punk will try to take down Big Show and Kane this Sunday for the WWE Tag Team Championship. And this is just after word starting getting out that he might be leaving. All I can say is that things will indeed pick up after Sunday.

As for everything else, things were okay, had a nice view of Kelly Kelly and other things that interest me. I liked Raw and it seems that things will change just after Over the Limit. I will post my predictions about Over the Limit later in the week, so I will see you guys then!

WWE Draft 2011 + My Thoughts

Well, coming off the heels of Monday Night Raw and with Extreme Rules this Sunday, things are getting interesting. Now then, the Draft is a huge event, making superstars jump from one brand to another. It would be new faces on each brand and something new would happen. But a lot is on the line since we are facing Extreme Rules this Sunday.

At first, when John Cena was drafted to Smackdown, I was happy. But by the end of the night, Cena was back on Raw. Bad move? I think so, however, Cena is a huge star, regardless of what other people think of him. I still like him if he was on Smackdown or still on Raw, as long as he's a great guy, shut the fuck up already.

Alberto Del Rio coming from Smackdown to Raw is huge since he's going to face Christian for the World Heavyweight Championship this Sunday. Either Del Rio will win and take the title to Raw (Not likely) or Christian will be the new face of Smackdown. I believe in Christian and he deserves it (plus, he was a good ECW Champion). COuld this mean that Miz is in trouble from losing the title? Not really.

Ah yes, the dream match between Sin Cara and Mysterio has to be put on hold as they both were drafted to different brands. Mysterio to Raw would be interesting and now I can see Sin Cara going after the I.C. Championship now, which is great in my eyes. One day, these two will face each other one day.

Randy Orton to Smackdown is pretty big move for him and I see him going after the title in the future, depending om what happens after Extreme Rules. I bet anything something is going to happen after Extreme Rules. Would Orton remain a face? Or will he become a true viper and turn heel? Only time will tell.

Other then the whole Cena episode, I'm 50/50 on this draft. On one hand, many things can happen. On the other hand, new matches can happen now. It all depends what happens next week when it really takes effect after Extreme Rules.

Playstation Network Down..........So What?

Well, as many would have guessed, the Playstation Network has been down for almost a week now. I here from both the Sony fanboys crying that they want it back ASAP while the Microsoft fanboys are rubbing it in their faces that they can't play their games online. With these two sides fighting each other, this is what I have to say:

So What?

Yes, I for one am a bit mad that PSN is down but on the plus side, at least Sony is trying everything in their power to fix this problem. Heck, I think after this, the PSN is going to be better for everyone to use after this mess is over. On the other hand, a lot of big games like Portal 2, Mortal Kombat and SOCOM 4 were released the day before PSN shut down is a bad way to start a big gaming week. However, shit like this happens to the big boys.

What I'm saying is that when things look bad, look at the end result and everyone is going to be happy. Sure, in the long run, many people are mad at Sony because of this, they might repay the favor for us that still decided to be with them.

Y2Jant Reviews: Mortal Kombat (2011)

Ladies and gentlemen, April 19th will go down as the day of video games. Many great games were released but one game that everyone is talking about is the new Mortal Kombat game. Returning after Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, many believed that Mortal Kombat was going soft. But with this return, it proves that Mortal Kombat is back and better then ever.

With graphics as great as it can ever will be and only fighting like the old school Mortal Kombat, this game amazed me. The story follows the first three MK games in the series but retold from a bit of a future standpoint.

From what everyone is telling everyone, Raiden is fighting a losing battle against Shao Kahn. In a last desperate move, Raiden sends a message to his younger self in hopes to prevent Kahn from taking over the Earthrealm (It's Earth with the MK name to it). Now you take the role of a cast of MK Fighters in Story Mode in order to try to prevent what might happen. The cut scenes are really well done and it really tells you the story behind the MK series that everyone can follow.

New to the MK World is some of the new moves and features that make this game stand out from other MK games. For one, it's your basic Arcade Ladder, where you pick your favorite fighter and battle to the top of the mountain. Also, a returning favorite is Tag Team matches. Your basic 2 on 2 match, with players switching between two characters. Even four people can play at the same time, making it a challenge for fighters because with a single tap of a button, the match can change.

Challenge Tower is a series of 300 (yes, I said it) challenges that pit the player against different foes and different set of rules to pass. Once you beat all of them, you will have a reward that even I don't know yet. All I know is that Test Your Might is back, as well as Sight, Luck and Strike. Everything about it makes you wonder what is that final challenge and what that prize could be.

Online wise is based upon the online features of the last Mortal Kombat game and here is where you can go to different rooms and challenge different people as well as chat with others. King of the Hill mode is a fun little online mode that again faces you and a online opponent. However, in the foreground, you see a bunch of mini Kombants cheering or booing at you as you fight. It's a fun little feature to pass the time and be with friends.

With a good amount of characters and future DLC coming soon, Mortal Kombat is the step in the right direction for the series after a few hits and misses. Overall, I would give the Y2Jant seal of gaming with a 9.5 out of 10.

Y2Jant Remembers: Eddie Guerrero + Wrestling Thoughts

Sometimes, being a wrestling fan is tough sometimes. When you think your watching some great matches and think that it's the top of the mountain, it ends somehow. Being a fan of wrestling since 2000, my first pay per view being No Mercy, I did miss a lot of wrestling growing up. I didn't know ECW. I didn't know about WCW. All I cared about was WWE and that's it. And then comes Eddie Guerrero. Everytime he was in a match, I cheered for him. Many really don't know the love I have for Eddie.

Over the years after I started watching, yeah, got a lot of people talking bad about wrestling. Yes, it's true that it is fake. That's why it's called entertainment for a reason. I love everything about it and I miss being there live. And Eddie was the man to entertain the crowd.

October 2005, me and my dad went to see Smackdown, live from Reno and there was Eddie, at the time being a major heel becoming a face again. To see him smile and cheat for a win made me smile and stand up and clap. Eddie amazed me that night like never before. I wanted to continue cheering him on. I wanted him to be on top of the mountain again and hold the title. It was the last time I would ever see Eddie perform.

The following month, my dad told me that a wrestler recently died on television and I was wondering who it was. Turned out that Eddie had passed away and I was heartbroken. I've lost my favorite wrestler in the 5 years I was a fan of it. Watching both tribute shows made me cry that I lost a great wrestler.

Fast forward 6 years later, I'm watching Eddie's DVD's at the moment and see how it was when Eddie was still around. Yeah, I do get comments that wrestling is all show but I smile and think of Eddie. He was the one who put the Hispanic community right there and made sure to raise above the others and not care. Eddie remains to me one of my favorite wrestlers of all time because he fought his demons and defeated them.

Maybe that's why I don't mark out anymore because where's the passion I saw in Eddie years ago? With Edge retired and everyone else just there, nothing else seems to fit this picture much. That's why I don't watch TNA because it's bad. As for ROH, I don't watch it either because it's yet to make that huge impact on me at the moment.

Sin Cara might be that light some old school fans are waiting for. He may not be Eddie but he is a gifted luchador that wants to make it big in this business. With time, he will be big and maybe then, I will mark out in the future. Why must I ramble about this you might ask? Because of two reasons:

1: I will miss Eddie Guerrero every single day and to hope that one day in the future, to see Eddie perform a great match in the heavens with the other greats.

And 2: To let the haters know to continue hating on Cena, and the matches and all this kind of stuff. I'm not the one to rant (I got many friends that do that on Tuesday night) because I tend to just watch and enjoy, just like how I did when I first saw WWE live for the first time.

WWE Raw Aftermath 4/4/11

Things are going to get interesting now that Raw has ended. Just one day after Wrestlemania XVII, Wrestlemania XVIII seems to be already set as The Rock, in front of the millions, has laid down the challenge to face John Cena at next year's Mania. Is this a right move? I honestly don't know at this point. Anything can happen from now until next year. Maybe we will see something happen now, let's wait and see. My opinion is that it might either happen sooner or later. Not by Mania but hell, I don't care.

Sin Cara made a very impressive debut and it looks like that Sheamus is in trouble. I believe this. Sin Cara is the next U.S. Champion. I've seen some of his matches in the past and he is impressive and will entertain the fans for years to come. I promise you that one day, Sin Cara will make Mexico proud. He is gifted in the ring and will win the U.S. Title (plus, it made my dad watch Sin Cara debut tonight so that's a plus in my book).

Wrestlemania XVII Aftermath

An event that happens only once a year and this year, it was interesting. The stage itself looked good and I knew that tonight was going to be something like no other. And here is what happened at Mania!

Edge would defeat Alberto Del Rio with the Spear to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. Good match to start of the show but I'm a bit confused on why have the WHC match first on the card.

Cody Rhodes defeated Rey Mysterio (who was Captain America this year) when Rhodes used Rey's knee brace and then hit Mysterio with Cross Rhodes. This is by far my match of the night at Wrestlemania, very good match between these two.

The Corre lost against the team of Kingston, Santino, Big Show and Kane. Short, sweet and to the point.

Randy Orton defeated CM punk with an RKO from a diving Punk, very interesting match and thought it was alright.

Micheal Cole would win the match against Lawler when the GM of Raw reversed the decision as a DQ.

The Undertaker defeated Triple H by submission and extends his streak to 19 and 0. Triple H is not only the 19th victim but is the 3rd man to lose twice to The Undertaker at Wrestlemania (Kane 14 and XX, HBK 25 and 26).

Team Snooki defeated Team Laycool.

The Miz and John Cena fought till a double count out, but Rock came out and restarted the match. However, he hit Cena with a Rock Bottom and Miz retains the championship.

Overall, I liked Mania but this felt a bit lacking in some matches. I give it a 7 out of 10. Match of the night has to go to Rhodes and Mysterio, that match is my favorite of the night

Y2jant's Top 5 Favorite Wrestlers

Well, after much thinking, I have picked my top five. These five wrestlers have amazed me in their matches and if you agree or not, that's okay, I don't mind, I am still a young wrestling fan. I will sum up that little history for another time. For now, let's begin!

5.
john cena Pictures, Images and Photos

John Cena

I remember when Cena took on Kurt Angle when he first debuted. At first, I hated this guy, I'm not going to lie. But as he started to become a fan favorite, I realized that he loved what he did. From changing the design of both the U.S. and WWE Championship belts, Cena is a great wrestler both in and out of the ring.

4.

Rey Mysterio

The real King of Mystery, Mysterio is very talented in the ring over the years I've seen him perform. When he debuted, I knew that he would be one hell of a great wrestler. He has come from other promotions before WWE, like WCW and ECW. Mysterio continues to perform but now I wonder how he's going to be like compared to Sin Cara.

Boy, in the months he debuted, he's a few days away from becoming the World Heavyweight Champion. I really like Del Rio, he's the perfect heel and the crowd really does hate him and yet I have always liked him. He shows a bit of class in the ring and makes his opponents submit. But you guys already know that.

Chris Jericho

Now here's a man that I respect in this wrestling world. Jericho has the skills as a wrestler and a talker. I remember when he was just wrestling here and there and then the news hit me that he was the Undisputed Champion really shocked me. Jericho has come and gone again and again but I sense that we haven't seen the last of Jericho in the WWE.

And my number 1 favorite is a no brainer:
Eddie Guerrero Pictures, Images and Photos

Eddie Guerrero

The Late, Great Eddie Guerrero will always be my favorite because of how he performed in the ring and how he was facing his inner demons for so long and finally managed to have a good life and have things better for him. Sometimes I wonder how the business would be like if he was still with us performing. From his themes to whatever he has to say, he made me love him and hate him as a heel but he cared so much for the business. He will be missed every single day. From his low rider to being a brutal heel against Rey, he knew how to perform in the ring. It's the kind of magic you don't see much in WWE nowadays.

Y2Jant's Wrestlemania XVII Predictions

Well ladies and gentlemen, it's that time of the year again for every wrestling fan known to mankind. This Sunday, Wrestlemania returns and the card is a good one (In my opinion). So what does old Y2Jant have to say about the matches? Well, here's what I think will happen this Sunday.

Kane, The Big Show, Santino and Kozlov vs. The Corre

Interesting way to have an 8 man tag team match. Whatever, we have to have a match like this at Mania somehow right? Anyways, I think The Corre will get the win on this match, hands down.

Winner: The Corre

Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan for the U.S. Title

Alright, now here's a match I'm looking forward to. Bryan lost the title to Sheamus (who has been on a losing streak before winning the title) and these two can make this match a good one. Regardless on how much I hate Sheamus, I have to give him the win for this night.

Winner: Sheamus

Snooki, Trish and Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler and Laycool

I can't really say much for this match but it's all about the press for Snooki. Imagine all the people that actually watch that show just to see this match. I tell ya, a lot of money and I have to give the win towards Snooki and her team.

Winner: Team Snooki

Rey Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes

Oh man, now we are talking a nice match right here. Will Rhodes get his revenge? Or will Mysterio get the win on the grandest stage of them all? Well, this is going to be a good match, but I have to side with the former dashing one, I think he will win.

Winner: Cody Rhodes

Randy Orton vs. CM Punk

Ah, a match that can really go either way on this one, I have to go with Orton on this one.

Winner: Randy Orton

Jerry Lawler vs. Micheal Cole (with Jack Swagger) Special Guest Ref: Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Man, I'm really hating on Cole right now, I have to give it to The King, hands down, end of story.

Winner: Jerry Lawler

Triple H vs. The Undertaker in a No Holds Barred Match

Hm, very interesting bit of history right here. My first Wrestlemania I saw on pay per view was indeed Wrestlemania X-7 and these two had a good match back then. Ten years later, they are at it again. Regardless, I believe Taker will be 19 and 0 at Wrestlemania.

Winner: The Undertaker

The Miz vs. John Cena for the WWE Champion

Here we go, The Miz will defend his title against John Cena at Mania, but after what happened on Raw, will The Great One make an appearance during the match? Only time will tell and this is one match I can't really call. On one hand, if Miz wins, he will continue to rant and talk how great he is. On the other hand, Cena will win the title again and feud with Miz. And god only knows what might happen when Rock shows up. I have to side with Miz on this one. But just barely.

Winner: The Miz

Edge vs. Alberto Del Rio for the World heavyweight Championship

I knew Del Rio was going to be a great wrestler in WWE but now, he could be greater. He promised since he first debuted that he will make it his destiny to have the title. But he has to defeat the Rated R Superstar to get it. Funny how it was last year that Edge faced Jericho for the same title, Edge being the Rumble winner and still lost. Now we must see of Del Rio will make history. Siding with him on this match.

Winner: Alberto Del Rio

Well, those are my predictions for this Sunday. And, I will be making a return on a certain program actually to give my thoughts, opinions and make sure that everyone still remembers Y2Jant!!!

Reaction To: Monday Night Raw

Well, a few times a week, a quick blog about what happened on Raw, Smackdown and Impact. Looks like I have some things to say.

John Cena giving the AA to The Rock was big, very big. Bigger then most things. So big that my buddy and good friend Lexicon likes Cena for what he did. And I don't blame him for hating on Rock. I admit, Rock returning was huge for me, knowing that I grew up a fan of him and when he left, I knew he wanted to do movies.

On the other hand, I became a fan of Cena before he became "Super" Cena and at least entertained us when Rock wasn't around.

With Wrestlemania just a few days away from this post, it will be interesting to see how the Cena/Miz match is going to end now that Rock has his sights on Cena. Can revenge be in the future? Or will after Wrestlemania, will we see Rock ever again? Only time will tell to see what happens next.

NOTE: I am planning to change the title of these short blogs, Reaction To is too boring for me.

3DS Sells More Then Any Nintendo Handheld

Well, to have even more fun news to report, the Nintendo 3DS has record sells that surpassed those of previous handhelds released by Nintendo. Looks like Nintendo is riding that ball pretty damn high I see. Even with reports that there has been some minor problems, the 3DS is still proving to be a great seller.

Now I'm wondering how things are going to be like when better 3DS games are released in the next few months. Looks like we will find out more when E3 starts to come closer then ever before.

The Man Called Dax

Well, out of boredom and nothing new to talk about until Monday Night Raw tonight, I think I should blog about my best friend and fellow wrestling and video game fan: Dax.

Hailing from the upside of Canada, Dax is the man to have a good talk to including bad English and the rare I like to throw food at people. But more so, he is a musician and a gamer who wishes to be the next Kurt Cobain of pizza (Insert funny laugh here)

Besides owning a Wii and a semi PS3, he is also a lover of music, from the heavy sounds of Avenged Sevenfold to the classic sounds of The Doors or even some Money of Pink Floyd, Dax has the taste of music I wish most people have nowadays.

And yes, he wants Beiber to die as well

Nintendo 3DS and You

Well folks, today is the day every American has been waiting for since last year. The Nintendo 3DS, the handheld system that promised the use of 3D without the glasses, is finally released in America and with preorders doubled from that when the Nintendo Wii came out, I'm not surprised that it's a hit.

Now for what I think. The system is good (just needs some more battery power) but the games currently available won't get me into the system just yet. With the new Paper Mario 3D, Ocarina of Time 3D and Super Mario Bros. 3D coming out in the near future, then it will get me into the system.

This Week In Wrestling

Now then, the real reason besides video games is to blog about what happened this week in wrestling, where I will talk about Raw and Smackdown, as well as that other show I won't mention here much, maybe. Well, here we go.

Raw

What can I say about Raw this week when it comes down to Miz and Cena. Tricking the people that he was home, Cena made his appearance and tried to beat down Miz and Riley. But Miz ran away as Cena looked ready to fight with all his might. But what really got a lot of people talking is the fact that The Rock will appear next week and will indeed confront John Cena face to face, I am excited for this. No more jokes, time to settle the score next week!

Impact

Now, I know that I don't watch much of TNA anymore, thanks to it's crappy stuff that even I don't really understand but I did catch a few things here and there going on between Sting, RVD and Mr. Anderson. Man, just pick a number one contender already please, jeez. Maybe next week I will actually watch and see what the heck is going on.

Smackdown

I missed Smackdown this week but lucky me, recording shows is a blessing. Looks like Del Rio is going to have a problem with Edge after all. Things are going south for the number one contender as Edge now has the upper hand but will things change next week, we are nearing Wrestlemania now and things are going to get heated up!

That's me for this week, tune in to each respected show and find out what's going to happen, I will give my predictions for Wrestlemania in the next few days.

NOTE: Sadly, Raw was suppose to perform here in my town in August but sadly they had to cancel. Ah well, that's the business for you

Y2Jant's Classic Movie Review: Batman Forever

Ah yes, welcome to a new segment of my blog where I look at some classic movies from the past. This time, we look back at the movie that made me into a fan of Batman and that is Batman Forever.

When it was released, my parents took me to see the movie and with it's cheesy moments, Batman Forever stood in my mind at that time, the best movie I have ever seen in my young life at the time.

The plot is Batman taking down the villains of Two-Face and The Riddler but more importantly, adding Robin into the mix. And to put the cherry on top of the ice cream, Batman is struggling with himself. Should he choose to stay Batman or leave the persona forever? One of my favorite quotes from the movie is this from Batman:

"Poor Edward. I had to save them both. You see, I'm both Bruce Wayne and Batman. Not because I have to be. Now... because I choose to be."

This will always remain my favorite movie of all time because it made me the fan of Batman I am today.

Next Week on Rock Band DLC

Well, now that everything is doing okay, I have decided, why not, and post my thoughts every Friday about the upcoming songs for Rock Band 3, plus anything else that seems interesting.

Days of Peace Pack 01
• Jefferson Airplane – “Somebody to Love”
• Blood, Sweat & Tears – “Spinning Wheel”
• Santana – “Black Magic Woman”

Singles
• DragonForce – “Through the Fire and Flames”
• DragonForce – “Operation Ground and Pound”

Many fans of the music game genre knows about Through the Fire and the Flames, one of the hardest songs on Guitar Hero III and now Rock Band will give us a chance to play this song again. Dear God, someone help us with this.

Also, I'm very happy to see Santana make his debut on Rock Band with one of his well known songs, should provide some fun for everyone that likes Santana.

Interesting choices we have for next week, I might pick up Santana for sure, as for the rest, I have to think about it for a bit if I really want them.

Why Black Ops Is............Meh

Well, a good friend of mine got me to buy Black Ops for the PS3 a few months back. Fast forward towards the end of March, 1st Prestige later, I have come to realize one thing:

I have lost all hope that Call of Duty will be better from this point.

Bad enough that you have to spend 15 dollars just to get a few new maps but sometimes you have to realize when something you hate goes too far.

I will admit that I'm a bit of a fan of the FPS (First person Shooters), having played Call of Duty in the early days. But over time, I realize that there's a small thing called hype. When Modern Warfare was released, it was the best. Then Modern Warfare 2 hot us with over priced map packs. And then, Black Ops comes out and everything seems for the better.

Well, I will admit, I will continue to play Black Ops and then, another Call of Duty will be released and I will cry as well as my wallet.

Duke Nukem Forever: Delayed Again

Ah yes, Forever has been delayed for over 14 years and the release date was suppose to be in May, but they have to delay it again. Boy, things are pretty much getting interesting again. Being a gamer, I was waiting until the day they can finally release Forever, but looks like we have to wait.

I for one don't like it because a lot of people will continue to make fun of it. Hope it doesn't take "Forever" to release it then.
